Clifford Colby & his team of Experts (Jan 2024)
Your PC needs protection, but free options may be enough. Here's what to get, and what's worth paying extra for...

What it means when microsoft stops supporting your version of windowsChris Hoffman (Nov 2018) Microsoft only supports each version of Windows for so long. For example, Windows 10 is currently retiring October 14, 2025, after which Microsoft will no longer support it. Here’s what that means.

Your Money or Your Files! A Short History of Ransomware:

Given the rapid spread and potentially high cost of ransomware, it is important to take effective steps to guard against this menace. A simple step to start with is making sure that your Software and Operating System is kept up-to-date. The hackers are looking for vulnerabilities they can exploit to take over systems. Vendors generally do a good job of patching any flaws once they are found, but if the patches are ignored and never applied you have left the door wide open for attacks!

Having Multiple Backups is still your Best Defense!

WannaCry: Everything you need to know about the global ransomware attack (by

Zach Epstein)    Ransomeware is making headlines and anyone with a PC and an internet connection is at risk. WannaCry is far and away the most severe malware attack so far in 2017, and the spread of this troubling ransomware is far from over.

Improve Your Home’s Wi-Fi Signal in Five Minutes (this also applies to businesses)

If your router is older than 2 years, then you should consider upgrading. Newer wi-Fi routers seek out devices and maintain better and stronger connections. Older units are more static and do not provide full coverage (meaning more likely to have dead spots).

*** Tips ***

Natural Way to deal with a Stuffy Nose or sinus issues due to a cold or allergies.

Here is a health tip that was recommended to me over 30 years ago from my Acupuncturist. Hope this helps and best wishes on a speedy recovery........

  • Fill a coffee cup with about a half an inch of water.
  • Microwave for 15 - 20 seconds.
  • Remove from microwave.
  • Add about 5 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil (check your local Health food store or order online).
  • Now, VERY SLOWLY, repeat, VERY SLOWLY, once again, VERY SLOWLY...
raise coffee cup up towards your nose, slowly breathing in.

NOTE: Raising the cup too fast can lead to irritation and a minor burning sensation in your nose.

  • The steam from the Essential Peppermint Oil will help open up your breathing and relieve your sinus pressure.

  • Repeat as needed.

Although not as strong, you can also try just placing some peppermint essential oil under your nose ( they sell a roll-on that works great for on the go).

Natural Way to deal with Sleepless Nights.

Just a tip to get some ... ZZZ's

All Natural Ingredient Foot Pads

I was having issues sleeping and came across these Foot Pads (on Amazon) that I recommended to a few friends and family.  Some say they help, others say they didn't.

*** Health Safety Tip: Always check the ingredients on any products before using!

For me the foot pads really work well, especially when I would wake up in the middle of the night and then try to fall back asleep ...

  1. Instructions are easy to follow and say to apply them to both feet before bedtime,
but I found that using one pad works fine for me.....
  2. You place 1 pad on the bottom of either foot (position as in the picture) before      bedtime (it is recommed that you wash the foot first).
  3. It also instructs to wear socks,
For me, they work without wearing them.
  4. In the morning, remove the pad, discard and wash the bottom of your foot.
(this you should do near a sink/shower or have a washcloth in hand!)
  5. Next time/night, place a new pad on the opposite foot...
  6. Repeat as often as needed....

(I find that I can go several nights without a foot pad and then when trouble falling asleep brews, I'll start using them again.  Average use for me I would say is 4-5 times a week.

All Natural Ingredients Foot Pads

Note:  there are many products similar to this one on the market, if this one doesn't work, then maybe try another one. I also switch over and alternate with these Ginger Pads.

So, there you have it, 2 options to try and improve your Sleep and get better ZZZ's...

Best of luck and I hope they work for you as well they have for me.....!
